S11_12 Swift Xrt

Software Installation Instructions:

Follow the BAT installation from source code instructions, and download and setup of the CALDB. This will also install all of the XRT tools and calibration files.

Preparing the XRT data:

Processing the XRT data can take up to 15-30 min for each segment,
depending on your computer. In order to save us (a lot of) time,
please have your XRT data already downloaded and cleaned.

We will start with the analysis of GRB090510.
Once you download and unzip the files,
the Swift data should be located in the directories 00351588000
and 00351588001.
Check that the auxil and xrt directories are there:
> ls 00351588000
auxil bat log tdrss uvot xrt

Be sure that the CALDB variable is pointing to the Swift caldb directory.
In my case:
> echo $CALDB
/software/heasoft-6.10/swift/caldb/
If it is not, please set it as:
setenv CALDB path_caldb_dir (cshell)
or
export CALDB=path_caldb_dir (bash)
In my case: setenv CALDB /software/heasoft-6.10/swift/caldb/

Then type the following commands:
> punlearn xrtpipeline
> xrtpipeline cleanup=no createexpomap=yes indir=00351588000
outdir=GRB090510 steminputs=sw00351588000 srcra=333.5522 srcdec=-26.5829
>& xrtpipeline.log &

If no errors occur during the processing, the final line of your logfile
should read like this:
xrtpipeline_0.12.4: Exit with no errors - Tue Nov 9 13:20:31 EST 2010
Repeat the same steps by changing 00351588000 with 00351588001, and
sw00351588000 with sw00351588001.
